Inspired by the fashion and architectural designing, the “Yona” from Kaiser Spath is a lounge chair that falls flat to become a carpet, allowing a variety of sitting or lying postures to the users. Featuring an upholstery layer finished in several thin foam layers and fabric and a bearing structure made in a polypropene sheet, the modular furniture gives versatility to contemporary living spaces. You may transform the Yona, from carpet to chair, with a special milling that folds the polypropene sheet by using an industrial Velcro to steady the chair on the floor.
