Inspired by coral reefs, underwater structures made from calcium carbonate secreted by corals, Serbian designer Marko Vuckovic has come up with an innovative lighting dubbed the “Coral lamp” that apart from illuminating your place also draws attention toward endangered coral species. Made in glass featuring solar panels on its top surface, the sustainable lamp generates energy from the sun to power itself. The Coral lamp needs to be placed by the window to harness solar energy during the day, so it could accumulate energy to glow all through the night. Moreover, it creates lively aquatic surroundings within the four walls of your house.
