Since time immemorial we have all had shoe boxes hidden at the back of our closets hiding our most precious memories- first love letters, photos, gifts, etc. a lucky few had generous grandparents who gifted them wooden boxes to keep their dear belongings. Drawing on the same concept, Dutch designer Evelien Valk built a unique HerinneringenKabinet, which is Dutch for ‘a cabinet for memories’. The intriguing cabinet comes with plenty of space to store your dearest belongings and it’s definitely sturdier than the shoe box! The intriguing cabinet with assorted Oakwood drawers/boxes neatly bundles up into a translucent cube when all drawers are shut making it an interesting addition to your living room.
