The rising sea level due to global warming has been a matter of concern for the people residing in coastal areas, for sooner or later they will have to leave the place submerging in the waters. Addressing the housing needs of communities affected by rising sea level, designer Gabriel Wartofsky has come up with an autonomous floating home that provides shelter to the affected. Partially constructed, partially grown, the house is capable of producing and regulating its own off-grid power and water supply. Made of recycleable materials, the modular prefab can be disassembled effortlessly without leaving any carbon footprint.
