Recycling the discarded French press, a small alarm clock and a coffee mug, Philadelphian designer Gregory Siegal has come up with an innovative clock that adds sustainability to your timepiece. Entitled the “Coffee Clock,” the eco-friendly clock wears a genuine similarity in both form factor and interface. Motivated by the simplicity of the interaction of a French press, the clock tells time by aligning the hole in the woven metal with one of the 12 holes of the metal plate behind it after every hour. In short, the Coffee Clock seems to explore the meaning of its form in relation to its function.
