Colin Furze, a plumber from Stamford, Lincolnshire claims to have designed the fastest mobility scooter ever, hitting the roads with the speed of 69mph. Mr Furze converted a conventional electric model scooter that was given by his friend into a petrol-engined speedster. The engine was replaced with the 125cc engine from a motorbike, and because the batteries died quickly, it was made a petrol-powered vehicle. The scooter runs nine times faster than an average mobility scooter, but one has to be very careful while driving to avoid toppling of the vehicle. Colin now wishes to enter his name in record books by hitting the speed of 70mph with his mobility scooter. Good wishes to you Colin!
