This fridge is a wholesome dedication to a generation of busy bees for whom healthy homemade meals are as elusive as routinely obvious take outs and microwave dinners. Bereft of cooking habits, this band of men, women and children don’t have time to prepare healthy food especially when canned food presents itself as an option.
Designer Ashley Legg endeavors to break this habit of not cooking healthy food by designing a fridge which helps you decide what to eat. The fridge has an electro chromic window and a touch sensor which transforms the door into an interface. All you need to do is stock up the ingredients in the fridge and store all the information regarding the input by using the interface. Based on the stored ingredients the fridge displays a menu from which you can choose the recipe to cook. One just has to collect ingredients and start cooking while listening to the step by step instructions being given out by the fridge.
