Shuo Yang thinks, the way to go is to go green. Well, quite a few many of us think likewise. But where Yang pushes the envelope is in envisioning a solar-powered clock that has no face. Yup, his Empty Time is made out of recycled paper and lets the user stare straight through. The time is displayed using a neat mechanism with fingers attached in driven circles. Empty Time will not be quite empty if you insert pictures in the center, as Yang hopes users would. He also thinks that his square clock could save a lot of metal going to waste. This one gets ten on ten for sheer novelty.
