Ours is the design blog but this was a suitable entrant for the designs marvel blog (had there been one) for this one truly is a marvel. Inspired by the shape of a semi-open flower, the Information Center for the exhibition hall in Shanghai, China can leave you mesmerized. China can boast of many design marvels especially after the Olympics but this one is easily one of the best the country possesses. I was still not through with the Birds Nest Hang and the designers from Paris-based Odile Decq Benoît Cornette have given me another upshot by designing this flower shaped Information Center. With open petals on the outside, the center has a black glass pyramid at the core. To add to the glitter, the interior lighting makes it even more dazzling making the entire architecture a towering spectacle.
