Inspired by the classic cars, such as GM Firebird concepts and Pontiac Firebird II, from the 1950s, Romanian designer Andrus Ciprian has designed a single-seat racing car named the “Honda Pegasus” that features an array of wings, spoilers and air management systems located all around the vehicle. Locating the small gas-turbine jet engine at the rear to provide an enormous thrust, the Honda Pegasus moves on custom-built wheels with vanes that while rotating draw air in to cool the brakes. In short, the Honda Pegasus presents a unique blend of classic concepts and modern racing cars to bring the airplane on the road.
