Taking personal mobility to the next level, Honda has come up with a single wheel personal mobility system, the U3-X, which lets the user move freely in all directions. Ideal for office use, home mobility and travel on sidewalks, the new personal mobility device lets you move swiftly without messing up with the walkers. Featuring a light weight monocoque body with foldable seats and footrests, the experimental device generates power from a lithium ion battery, which keeps you mobile for about one hour after a full charge. Placed comfortably between the legs of the rider, the U3-X touts Honda’s Balance control technology, or what they call “HOT (Honda Omni Traction) Drive System,” for easy controls with the upper body movement of the driver. Weighing below 10kgs, the Segway-style-unicycle, if it comes into production, will definitely be the HOT pick.
