Options to illuminate your dwellings are increasing with each passing day. Resembling a shower-head, is this limited-edition floor lamp named Orbital. It is here to alter the whole lighting experience with its tiny dazzling up-lights that come neatly embedded in the lamp-heads gleaming rings of acrylic diffusers. Designed by Luiza Milewicz and Mark Howard, it has a color-wheel that can be turned by hand which is present on the diffuser. When rotated, patterns of soft colored light is spread around, giving the area a dreamy look.

Color and intensity of the light is adjustable through switches and remote control displayed on the LED array which is split into three banks. Measuring about 1850 mm in height, 380 mm in diameter it can last for almost 50,000 hours by using a nine high-efficiency Cree XLamp Light Emitting Diodes. Materials like LED’s, Perspex, aluminum and copper have also been used to make Orbital. Light can be spread in various directions through its capability of spinning on its axis. Patterns of light can be modified as it has been crafted in a way to put up an array of different top-dishes.
