Braille facilitates reading for the blind, but most of them falter in writing or typing due to the unavailability of an efficient as well as practical Braillewriter. Revitalizing the traditional Brailler, Perkins in partnership with American Printing House for the Blind has come up with the next-gen Braillewriter that is not just compact, lightweight and noiseless but also presents lighter keystrokes, increasing the learning possibilities for the blind worldwide. Based on ethnographic research, the latest Braillewriter allows an easy grip and gentle keystrokes, making writing easier for the visually deprived young learners. Apart from ergonomics, the tactile-friendly Brailler also includes a polycarbonate shell, a metal frame and metal inner workings to ensure durability.
