Of late, we have witnessed the belligerent mood, in form of floods and drought, of Nature. Though, it’s almost impossible to resist the furies of mighty nature, we can minimize the damages with quick and smart rescue operations. Keeping such rescue actions in mind, designer Jacob Ballard has popped up with an innovative flood rescue kayak that will assist rescuers in extreme conditions. Dubbed the Rez-Q, this simple yet ingenious water-craft can be thrown from a chopper into the sea, where it can be expanded using a release lever present at the rear of the boat. Made from elastic urethane materials, the kayak can create an additional 3-feet of space to accommodate an extra person. The materials are lightweight, but are extremely UV stable and have energy absorbing properties.
