No matter how efficient and stylish your wired gadgets and accessories might be, messy cables hanging all over the place just spoils the effect! However, a bunch of designers, including Hoang M Nguyen, Poom Puttorngul and Anh Nguyen, has come up with an innovative bulb design that not just eliminates the chaotic wires but also doubles up as a speaker. Hailed as ‘SoundBulb,’ the multifunctional LED light bulb hides a speaker system inside and streams audio from most computers or cellphones wirelessly. The user can control the volume by twisting the outer ring. The on/off switch is located on the side of the bulb. There is no need of a speaker cable or batteries, as the SoundBulb receives power from the socket. The SoundBulb looks superbly awesome, but the only snag that may cause apprehensions is the heat produced by the light bulb, which could easily spoil the speaker system.
