Spacebuster is personal space for community events anywhere, anytime

Coming from the house of German design group Raumlabor, the Spacebuster is a mobile, inflatable pavilion that expands to turn public spaces into private for hosting exhibitions and community gatherings. Exhibited in collaboration with Storefront for Art and Architecture, in New York this April, the Spacebuster is a unique yet flexible structure that, popping out a hard shell (like a soft bubble dome) from the back of a regular truck, organically bends to the surroundings as well as the needs of the users. Made from special translucent plastic, the structure is designed to be entirely visible from the outside, turning the exterior environments into the background of the ongoing events. Ideal for instant social gatherings, debates, parties and various other community events, the portable pavilion, once inflated, can hold up to 80 people anytime, anywhere.
