Existing in a digital dominated world, we allow the digi doodads to rule our every action. An iPod for music streaming in our ears, a LCD to watch our favorite flicks or soaps or play Wii, and not to forget the ever addictive gaming consoles! Not only geeks but even a lay person has fallen prey to this digitalization trend. And designer Jiprang Horsangchai happens to pack all these entertainment digital elements in one hub. The form of the Tetris Digital Media Hub project was inspired by Nintendo but the idea come from the combination of the activity gaming and computer gaming. Emphasizing on the Tetris symbol as an emblem of this gadget, the designer has also put the same to function too. When the user connects the speaker to the main hub to recharge the battery he will get the benefit of the feeling like playing game in the same time.
Intended to be the center of Home Entertainment, it will also serve as a primary home server housing your audio, video, and data files. Music files can be simply linked through the hub to lessen computer hard disk space usage. It will also work as the server storage for digital video files.
In essence, everything can be classified as data, from music, video, games, etc. Data files are becoming more and more detailed making these very files huge creating a need for more storage space capacity and conveniently accessible. So files that have been burned and downloaded can be stored and managed through this hub; accessible through the home network; interfaced via television, portable MP3 player, portable drive, or through a computer.
Modeled from white plastic on the front, green fabric in the center, the sides are rimmed with brush aluminum. A light feature indicates when its time to feed this gizmo some juice.
