Tidal House: Savor the mysteries of sea as you dive into serenity

Tidal House

Being surrounded by nature can make you dive in a tranquil state. The Tidal House, designed by Mika Yamaguchi, is here to redefine the charm of a seaside. The unique housing option will make you savor the mystic marine environment. The designer fetched heavy inspiration from ‘maggie and milly and molly and may,’ a poem penned by E.E. Cummings.

It will be crafted inside a lava rock and help you dive into panoramic views. The unusual house will consist of two levels. A room placed in the center of a slightly raised table will act as perfect space for gathering. This space can be used for long chit-chatting sessions and forming a bond with the surroundings. Lift the floor table and it will give way to the lower level through an opening, which will be used for resting.

A sliding door, shaped in the form of a circle, has been fitted at the entry. It adds grace and will give a clear view of the ocean at moment of time. When dusk sets in, lift up the spherical table and let the moonlight kiss the resting area. This will create a magical aura and unexplainable happiness. Cooking will be done under the sky, which will help you connect with the wilderness around. Bathing and washing can be accomplished in surrounding tidal pools for an unforgettable experience.

The facade of this hut has been crafted from rough concrete that will make it look like a rock. On the other hand, the inside will be draped in a modern and neat way with the help of plaster. Floors will be swathed with wooden planks that won’t pose any cleaning troubles. The hut will embrace the minimalistic concept and won’t have a lot of furnishings except a large wooden table and a ladder. Easy packing materials like hammocks will be used, which will give create a lot of free space.

Promising to be nothing less than a heavenly abode, the Tidal House will sure help you connect with nature and take a break from the hustle-bustle of city life.
