Conceived by Ecuadorian designer Jose Ignacio Martinez, the “TUBO” is a folding seat/stool that the user may carry with him/her and have a short break anywhere, anytime. Made in injection molding PVC (structure and sliding parts) and rubber (non-slippery legs-ends), the unconventional folding system optimizes space, storage and transportation. Presenting an inner wire structure to hold different parts in a perfect position, the seat also includes a rail in the main structure to guide the sliders in a straight way.
The stool is very simple to fold and unfold. All you have to do is just push the button in and slide the parts up or down to close or open the system. Sliding the legs and seat tubes, linked to the main structure by a hinge, simultaneously, the seat spreads or closes automatically. Measuring 410 mm (when opened) and 580 mm (when closed), the TUBO folding stool features a triangular seat (270 mm) to rest you in comfort.
