TuboHotel: A budget hotel made using concrete pipes

TuboHotel

The TuboHotel has been designed by T3arc and is located in Tepoztlan, Morelos, Mexico. This unique concept drew inspiration from Andreas Strauss work in which he made use of used concrete pipes for building hotel rooms. The TuboHotel is located on the suburbs of Tepoztlan with a beautiful scenic view of the Sierra del Tepozteco and this natural environment is what inspired the designers to come up with an eco friendly design that complemented the surroundings.

This affordable hotel provides twenty rooms, which are built in a modular form in order to utilize the ground area, comprising three rooms in each module. This unique module design of providing three rooms in each module-pyramid is what makes this room different from that of Andreas Strauss in which the concrete pipe rooms were placed adjacent to each other. The construction of the TuboHotel took more than three months.

This innovative budget hotel complements that natural surroundings, as the TuboHotel is not only environmentally friendly but at the same time a great getaway for tourists. The overall tubular-cum-pyramid design of the hotel is very innovative and modern. The TuboHotel is very comfortable with good services and most importantly – it is extremely affordable.
