Displayed at Milan Design Week, the “Green Eco System Kitchen” by Whirlpool is a smart and sleek kitchen for contemporary apartments, allowing an efficient cooking pace to saves energy, resources and time as well. Comprising a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove and an oven, the GreenKitchen prototype touts interconnection between different appliances. The induction cooker reduces both the energy consumption (up to 20%) and the time as it avoids dispersion of heat and calculates exactly water requirement for cooking.
In addition, it also reduces the water consumption by 70% in the kitchen, for the recycled water from cooking and sink is filtered, stored and reused to do the dishes, while the solar panels generates adequate energy to warm water. Moreover, the eco-smart kitchen also locates a handy-dandy resource assistant in the countertop to supervise consumption, costs and other useful information. Users can program different appliances to do a task without human intervention.
