Created for Sirius Satellite Radio, the “Alien” by designer Aki Hirota is essentially a boom box that brings a Kenwood Sirius car tuner within the four walls of your house. Featuring 3.5” woofers that open upwards for surround sound, the boom box presenting a curved enclosure comes with a built-in handle for easy transportation. Finished with ABS-PC plastic, available in different colors, the Alien draws inspiration from the extraterrestrial nature of a satellite or a spaceship and measures about 17” x 5.8” x 10” (WHD). Contrary to regular boom boxes, designed to place on the shelf or desktop, the Alien standing tall at 11” on its three legs is intended to be placed on the floor like a side table or a bench.
