Hate the view outside your window? Join the club! But I just found a great alternative to having to see my 89-year old neighbor’s “lingerie” hanging out to dry first thing in the morning. The Better View Curtain from Finnish designer Elina Aalto rids you of sickening sights outside your window for as long as you want. Part of SAUMA- a traveling exhibition created by the Finnish Cultural Institute in New York- the Better View Curtain is basically a series of perforated blacked-out roller blonds which allow the light to seep in through small cut out holes making it look like the city skyline by night. For now the series only includes Helsinki and Tokyo but Stockholm and Paris skylines are in the works.
