In case you’re wondering if this is a feature for a man-eating giant rainforest flower, then you can relax, because this diabolically beautiful design is not a human-munching evil lily but a futuristic Board of Directors table designed by F-Lab partners Ramiro Diaz-Granados and Heather Flood. The table called the C-Hub or Central Hub and embodies the concept of “an egalitarian spirit that the research-based design team sought to present. Based at Los Angeles architecture school SCI-Arc, F-lab’s C-Hub features a fixed central core which houses the main computer equipment and eleven independent outer sections called Chubbies extend out with power, internet and USB connections. F-Lab describes the C-Hub as being “an infrastructural organism, alive digitally as well as aesthetically and in form.” The gorgeous table was made by a team of 11 students in the leadership of Diaz-Granados and Flood at SCI-Arc.
