Mey Eden Easy Bar is a small mineral water dispenser that replaces the faucet with a simplified Green Tap whereby even children can successfully operate it without help. Usually small water bottles when used on normal water dispensers find it difficult to maintain a balanced flow of water and results in annoyance and discomfort for user. The water dispenser in Hebrew called as a water bar has been reinvented by an Israel based design studio to help such situations and that too without using any energy source.
Designers at Igloo design studio, Yariv Sade & Arik Yuval, have designed a non-electrical dispenser for a five-gallon mineral-water bottle, which allows a steady flow of water rate. The designers claim that 3000 years back farmers had invented this method for irrigating their crops in the fields. The design makes do without any mechanical faucets by adopting a Green-tap based on that simple principle.
The Green Tap assists the entire mechanism by bringing into play the physical laws of nature. It tilts a wider than average below-water-level tube to gush out water whereas to stop the flow it springs back above water level via a spiral. The tap is simple to maintain with effortless cleaning and economical too.
The body of the Easy bar is made of injection molded ABS and POM plastic and is cheaper than other small-bottle water dispensers. Catering to both practical and visual necessities, the dispenser comes with a changeable top of five varied colors to suit the mood of the room it adorns.
