Harmonic Generator: A musical experiment!

3 miXoS 58
Designers nowadays have become so adept in taking liberty with their designs that they often end up with strange creations. Hailed as the‘Harmonic Generator,’ the new musical device by Isac Zal is an experimental electronic instrument that will have the best out of even the perfect musicians. Presenting 64 piano strings, chromatically tuned to 32 notes, on the outer side, the device comes with a handmade keyboard that can be played like a piano. While numerous corresponding motors (32) with bristle paintbrushes controls the speed of beating of the strings, the 12 pick-ups concentrate on one octave of strings. And there is a transducer, reflecting the sound of the pick-ups into the large resonance hull, at the end of the mechanism.

Usability:

Now the Harmonic Generator is a weird piece of musical instrument, I must say! I’m not sure how it sounds, but its uncanny looks sure means that its not meant for the masses.
