Not many of us would think of a chair as a potential gift. But think again and the idea is not all that bad. As a matter of fact with His & Her Gift_Chair, the idea almost seems an automatic. It is a concept piece of furniture designed by Roderick Jonathan Gritten for the EPS Design Competition. His & Her Gift_Chair proposes a modular chair that can be taken apart and fashioned into your traditional gift box. His & Her Gift_Chair is made of expanded polystyrene and is cent percent recyclable and flame resistant. The chair comes in two sized versions – one for males and the other for females – and consists of three components. Being lightweight these parts render themselves to easy arrangement and the entire thing can be packed and unpacked in mere seconds. The modularity is such that the pieces can be arranged to form a variety of things: a chair, a lounger, or a little storage space for stuff. His & Her Gift_Chair is unusual to say the least and is quite attractive. Putting consumer in charge of the function, and to a great extent the form, His & Her Gift_Chair will be quite a house warming present.
