Linx: Easily shippable, erectable 2-story break room for workers

Keeping all the workers in mind, who toil throughout the day at the construction site, designer Richard Barnwall has come up with a new temporary container, Linx that will work as a temporary shelter for them. As a matter of fact, this container is a two-story break room with four 20-foot shipping containers and is more like a home. It is provided with ample space that is made into an office area, kitchen, dining area, showers and toilets.

Barnwall has not added bedroom to this movable temporary shelter, as he strongly feels that having one will not justify one’s work at the site. The container’s complex design with four simple components, also has sliding panels that let light and proper ventilation in. Indeed, this kind of structure with storage space for mechanical systems is one of its own kind that ensures homelike place with basic amenities to the workers.
