However the item in question is one of his earlier pieces that make use of oak. The Oak and Bronze Coffee Table by Philip Laverne is a treat for the eye. It measure 44.45 cm (h) X 88.9 cm (d) X 134.62 cm (l) and is a great assemblage of glass, oak and bronze fittings. The rare piece from 1960 is available here and is said to be in a great condition. The top of the table is usual enough with a thick glass, but it is the base that’s a matter of interest. The solid oak base is carved and is adorned with bronze fittings.
