Insight:

Most of the gadgets, especially cellphones, are facing serious allegations of being harmful to health. The radiations that are emitted are believed to impart negative effects to our mind as well as body. However, it is increasingly difficult to avoid such gadgets as they have managed to make our lifestyle simpler and productive too. Hence, a young designer, Andrew Kim, has worked upon a cellphone that is tweaked with healing feature like aroma therapy. Dubbing his idea as Samsung Lavender, Andrew has shaped up a stylish cellphone that can floor you with its charming appearance. Drenched in a cool violet shade, Samsung Lavender has more under its hat then just good looks.

Design Status:

Samsung Lavender is just a concept yet.

Usability:

This cellphone not only connects the user with the rest of the world, but it also aims to do wonders with the aroma of Lavender. Fitted with a refillable perfume dispenser, the user can simply the indulge in fragrance by pressing the metal head of the cellphone. The designer also intends to get rid of all the bacteria with ultra violet light feature. Am I justified to nickname it as a ‘therapeutic cellphone’?

Talking about its original function, let me tell you that the front displays a speaker and a glowing ruby colored home button. Though the camera is fitted at the back, the rest of it sports ‘Starlight’. This starry pattern of glowing LEDs illuminates dark times. It also features a USB connector.

I loved the way Samsung Lavender displays its battery usage. The fragrant liquid in the background on the screen indicates the level of energy it has consumed. Lower levels indicate the need to charge the battery.
