Conceived as a landscape element, the “Serpentine” by Indian designer Indrajit Satbhai is an outdoor bench that other than placing the visitors in comfort also becomes one with nature to enhance the surroundings. Featuring fins made in acrylic sheets with patterns embedded on them, the public bench as suggested by its name presents a serpent-like fluid motion, which depicts the incessant natural cycle of life after death. In addition, the skeleton structure of the public seating is easy to integrate and collapse so it could be shifted from one place to another with minimum fuss.
